Concerning Sakinah

He it is Who sent down As-Sakinah (calmness and tranquillity) into the hearts of the believers, that they may grow more in Faith along with their (present) Faith. And to Allah belong the hosts of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is Ever All-Knower, All-Wise.. Surah Al- Fath Ayat 4.

I like Muhsin Khans Translation best.

Im going to have ice cream today :D

Yeah - that was arb. Anyway - I gave blood yesterday. This is my tenth year that im donating. I really do love giving blood - not so much for knowing that i'm helping people. I do it for the biscuits and juice. Also - because I have the rarest blood type in the world (AB negative) the 'blood people' treat me like royalty (thats two lollipops for you Mr Khan) I figure its because they fetch a higher price for my blood. Its great to know that im special that way - one in a hundred people have my blood type..which pretty much means im screwed if I need blood.

Do gay people fight for the right to give blood? Because from what ive seen (in the questionnaire thingy) is that 'HomoGlobin' (yeah I just coined that) is excluded. Weighed myself before giving blood - I put on like seven kilos. Must be all that Scooters ive been eating lately.

How did I go from Sakinah to this? I dont know. I have a habit of starting at one place and ending at another.

Anyone else think that the raj is a total joke for blaming the IPL for his lack of votes? See what I did there - I didnt even capitalise his name. truth be told - I was going to vote for him, but I decided to waste my vote on the Al Jamah party instead. I still have the ink stain. Mj doesnt use manicure tools. Only problem is, that it looks like a small bird shat on my thumb nail. I like how the ink mark is moving up slowly as my nail grows. Its almost half way up. Which means my thumb nails grow like Sabretooths.

Nasheeds make me romantic and cloaks drive me wild. Not lustful romantic... but Mohabbat romantic - the sweet type. But I do mean wild in the same way youre thinking though.

W.I.L.D!

I'm loving Wolverine on the Xbox. Its such a fun game. I bought Motorstorm Pacific Rift for my PS3 today. Was a bit of an impulse buy. The Xbox is still my favourite console in the current generation.

all Hail Microsoft. for giving us Hotmail addresses when we were young.

Hail.
I decided I like cats. I like Hamsters, but I like cats too. But I love licorice the best from the three. I can never get tired of eating licorice. Or Gherkins.

Finally - some trivia for you guys.If you watched the Wolverine movie you probably noticed the sticker on the old couples back window - 'Not all those who wander are lost.' Sounds familiar hey - Aragorn says it in the Lord of The Rings :D I guess they used it because that scene was filmed in New Zealand. It was a cool moment.

I might be doing an M.C gig in a few weeks. Watch this space.

My Parents Anniversary was yesterday. Forty Years. Dam thats a long time.

This blog has no flow whatsoever. Which makes it all the more special to me :)

My mum just buzzed me on the intercom. She cant sleep so she wants to have tea. Let me run.

Wishing you guys Sakinah.

MJ

Forty years is a very long time, but how can nasheeds make a person romantic?

That line (it's variation) was first used in Mona Lisa Smile (2003)
"I've heard her called a quitter for leaving, an aimless wanderer. But not all who wander are aimless, especially those who seek truth beyond tradition, beyond definition, beyond the image."

I'm guessing it origins come from elsewhere, some author perhaps.

Kimya - Hi

Humaira - I dont know why - I guess I listen to the romantic ones a lot - Zawjati by Ahmed Bhukathir, Sakeena by native deen, allah Knows by Zain and Dawud and most importantly - Zamilooni by Native deen and Zain

Edge - Im going to see if it grows out

Azra - It was first coined by J R R Tolkien ...

All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost; the old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, a light from the shadows shall spring; renenwed shall be blade that was broken, the crownless again shall be king.”

Fuck Mona Lisa Smile :D

I reckon Tolkien stole it from someone else...especially that "all that glitters is not gold" part.

"Your mother's a lizzard" :P
